The Houston Calligraphy Guild is a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement and promotion of calligraphy as an art form. Membership is open to all. Membership inquiries and address changes should be directed to:Terryink@AOL.com

Members are entitled to an on-line quarterly newsletter – the Handscrit – beginning with the last issue printed; discounts on Guild-sponsored workshops; eligibility to participate in exhibitions; and access to the Guild's extensive library. 

Members who are freelance calligraphers or who teach subjects related to calligraphy and the book arts can be listed in our Freelancers and Teachers Directory on the guild's website.

Annual dues are $25 payable by April 1st. Dual memberships are available for $35, entitling two members of one family all membership privileges with one HANDSCRIT emailed to one of the family member's email address.

The activities and programs of the Houston Calligraphy Guild are planned, directed and implemented by a Board of Directors made up of Guild members.

Whatever your level of interest in calligraphy, whether it be passing admiration or in-depth analysis, the Guild welcomes your participation!

1. Membership shall be open to all individuals who are interested in supporting the calligraphic and related arts.

2. Each Guild member shall be entitled to one vote at the business meetings of the Guild.

3. Annual dues shall be payable April 1 of each year.

4. Memberships are non-transferable and non-assignable.

5. Memberships may be terminated upon the failure of a member to pay the annual dues by the end of the month of the date of renewal.

6. Honorary life memberships will be given by the Guild to persons who have made a significant contribution to the calligraphic arts.  Selection of honorary members will be made by group vote at regular meetings.
